The humidifier holds enough water to work a few days. When I started it, the room humidity was 26% and it moved to 32% overnight in a 12*12 feet room. The noise level is minimal for its capacity.I sometimes use it in my plant room and it seems like it works well for the plants. My nose bleeding has also vanished meaning it adequately hydrates the air in the harsh Boston winters.

I received this humidifier back in October, and I absolutely love it!!Because we have gas heat, I'm constantly struggling to keep humidity in the air at home.
